What is LegalTech Meetup?

LegalTech Meetup, founded in partnership with the European Legal Technology Association (ELTA) and Lawformer, is the first professional education initiative in the Caucasus region focused on digital transformation in law. It provides a platform for legal professionals to understand, discuss, and apply technology in modern legal practice.
Our mission is to equip legal professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to understand, adapt to, and lead technological innovation in law.
LegalTech Meetup develops practical learning courses and conferences that help legal professionals integrate modern technology into their work. Both formats combine theoretical foundations, case-based learning, and live demonstrations to ensure participants gain skills that can be applied immediately in their professional environment.

LegalTech Meetup is launching a new course, AI and Innovation in Legal Practice, offered in English and Georgian.
Overview
The program explores how innovation, automation, and artificial intelligence are reshaping legal work - from document management and client communication to ethical decision-making and governance.

Our Impact
The Academy builds on two major initiatives that laid the foundation for LegalTech education in Georgia:
1. LegalTech Meetup (2024): The first large-scale LegalTech conference in Georgia, bringing together over 200 participants, 15+ sessions, and international experts. The event introduced the national legal community to the global LegalTech ecosystem, covering automation, legal design, contract management, and AI in law.
2. Digital Transformation for Legal Practice (2025): The first structured training program of the LegalTech Academy. The course guided participants through the fundamentals of digital transformation, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), and the use of automation and GenAI tools in daily legal work. It provided practical skills in workflow design, technology evaluation, and ethical implementation of AI.

We launched the region's first comprehensive LegalTech event, bringing together legal professionals and technology innovators to explore digital transformation in legal practice.

Session 1 | LegalTech 101: The Foundation
The session introduced the legal technology ecosystem and current market trends. It provided an overview of LegalTech solution categories and case studies of successful implementations. Key focus areas included technology adoption frameworks and impact assessment methods for legal practices.
Session 2 | GenAI & Fundamentals of Prompt Engineering
The session covered the fundamentals of Generative AI and the structure of effective prompts. It explored prompt design principles, common prompt types, and their strategic applications. Best practices for optimizing AI interaction in legal contexts were highlighted.
Session 3 | Prompt Engineering for Legal Professionals
The session demonstrated advanced prompt design for research, drafting, and legal analysis. It introduced real-time testing and optimization techniques and examined complex prompt scenarios. Ethical and practical considerations in AI use were also discussed.
Session 4 | Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
The session focused on CLM systems and automation strategies across the contract lifecycle. It addressed template creation, approval workflows, and integration with knowledge management systems. Practical approaches to improving accuracy, speed, and control were presented.
